The basics
What is STAYVEN?
A place to talk things through and get a plan: free text chat with a real person, and certified coaches when you want direction. Therapy is coming later.
Who is it for?
Men, 18 and older.
What does it cost?
Talking with a listener is free. Coaching: the 15-minute intro is free; sessions are 45 minutes at a price each coach sets, shown on their profile.
Is this therapy or crisis care?
No. Listening and coaching aren't therapy or crisis care. In danger, call 911. Call or text 988 anytime. More crisis lines.
Talking
Who will I talk to?
A listener: a peer who applied and was approved by STAYVEN. Listeners aren't coaches, counselors or therapists. How we vet listeners.
When can I talk?
While listeners are on shift. The listener chat page shows whether someone is on right now.
What if no one picks up?
We keep looking for up to 15 minutes. If no one's free, try again later, book a free coach intro, or take the 3-minute check-in.
What does my listener see?
Your first name and your messages. Never your email.
Can I phone instead?
Not yet. It's text chat in your browser for now.

What kind of coaching?
Wellbeing coaching from certified coaches: life, career, fitness, nutrition, style, confidence and more. Browse coaches.
How do I start?
Book a free 15-minute video intro at a time that suits you. No card and no account needed, just a first name and email.
Can I cancel a paid session?
Cancel 24 hours or more ahead for a full refund. If your coach cancels, you get a full refund. Terms.
Safety and privacy
How do you vet listeners and coaches?
Listeners apply, we read every application, and they pass an orientation check before taking a chat. Coaches are credential-verified, background-checked, interviewed and trained on our safety protocol. Details.
How do I report a listener or coach?
In a chat or a message thread, tap Report and pick a reason. STAYVEN staff read what was reported and follow up, and can remove a listener or pause a coach. For anything else, use the contact form or email hello@stayven.co. Reports aren't reviewed around the clock. If you're in danger, call 911.
Who can read my chats?
You and your listener. Chats are deleted 30 days after they start, and STAYVEN staff read one only if it's reported. Your privacy, plainly.
Do you sell my data?
Never. Nothing is sold or used for ads.

Can I see a therapist through STAYVEN?
Not yet; it's coming. If you need a therapist now, we list trusted places to look.
