About these terms

These terms cover your use of stayven.co, including booking, operated by SELMD, LLC, doing business as STAYVEN. Coaching services are also covered by a separate coaching agreement you accept when you book.

Not a crisis service

STAYVEN is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about suicide, call 911 or call or text 988 right away.

Coaching is not therapy

Coaching is a non-clinical service focused on goals, habits and accountability. Coaches on STAYVEN do not diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical condition, and coaching is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. The 3-minute check-in is an informational screening aid, not a diagnosis.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use STAYVEN.

Your use of the site

Provide accurate information in our forms, and don't misuse the site, including by trying to access areas you're not authorized to use, submitting automated or false entries, or interfering with its operation.

Booking intros and sessions

Free intros are 15 minutes by video. After you book, your coach emails you a video link. You can cancel anytime from the link in your confirmation email; please cancel at least a few hours ahead so the time can go to someone else. A coach may need to reschedule or decline a booking, and will tell you by email. One booking per person, with your own name and email. STAYVEN may cancel bookings that look automated, abusive, or unsafe. Booking an intro doesn't commit you to paid sessions.

Paid coaching sessions are 45 minutes by video, at the price shown when you book, paid by card through Stripe. Your time is held for 30 minutes while you check out. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund; inside 24 hours, or if you don't show, the session isn't refundable unless your coach agrees. If your coach cancels, you get a full refund. Refunds go back to your card, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

Coaches and therapist referrals

Coaches and listed therapists are independent professionals, not employees of STAYVEN. Therapist referrals and directory links are offered for your convenience; you choose whether to contact a provider, and STAYVEN receives no payment for referrals. We verify credentials as described in our standard, but each professional is responsible for the services they provide.

The site's content is for general information. STAYVEN, the STAYVEN name and design are ours; please don't copy them without permission.

Disclaimers and limits

The site is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, STAYVEN isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the website. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can't be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
