Why STAYVEN exists
Not long ago I sat with an old friend and we talked for hours. About family, and the people who shape us, for better or worse. About work and where our careers are headed. About being fathers. About education, and what's worth learning next.
Somewhere in there we both admitted the same thing: we don't do this. Not with anybody. We'd been carrying all of it quietly, because that's what we were taught to do.
That conversation is STAYVEN. A place where men can talk it through with someone in their corner, someone trained, without having to call it anything heavier than it is. Start with a coach. Go further when you need to. Keep it private either way.

Our mission
STAYVEN is a safe haven. We guide, protect, and serve men going through the unknown: the pressure no one sees, the questions they don't ask out loud, the weight they carry alone.
In the U.S., men die by suicide at nearly four times the rate of women (CDC). Many of them never told anyone what they were going through. Every time we lose a man that way, someone close to him says they never saw it coming. That is why we're building this: so the first step is smaller, someone trained is in your corner, and help is always one move away.

What we're building
STAYVEN is a coaching platform and app: private, practical certified coaching for men. When someone needs licensed care, we refer them to trusted directories and verified Maryland therapists. Next, licensed therapists join STAYVEN directly, so stepping up to clinical care is one move, not a search from scratch.
Who's behind it
STAYVEN is founded in Maryland by Shea, a certified coach and U.S. Army National Guard veteran. Everything by design. Nothing by accident.
